The word “Roadshow” conjures up images of road trips, holidays, traveling salesman, there has been many a song penned about the road. But what do we mean when we talk about a “Roadshow” and why should we have them?
Typically it is a series of meetings or events in different cities showcasing a product or service. With the onset of the internet, traveling salesman and representatives are pretty much a thing of the past, we all order online. Roadshows are a great way to spread the word in person, in an interactive format and to reach those you may not have been able to otherwise. A half or full day event can bring customers, prospects and partners together.
Roadshows can help promote your company and offering, generate more sales into the pipeline, and help spread your thought leadership.
These events allow us to move beyond the phone calls and email and actually create face-to-face relationships. Conversations allow our clients to get to know us and the infoodle culture as well as infoodle getting to meet the clients and users of infoodle.
Meeting other users of infoodle in similar situations during the roadshows discussion groups, workshops and social times encourages the exchanging of ideas and information, and sometimes leading to organisations collaborating together. For new users it can give the confidence to continue and for others, new ways or ideas on how to do things.
Changing to a new system can be a bit overwhelming, for new users (and even long time users) the roadshow is an opportunity to talk about what you are struggling with and hear from other users or the infoodle team how to overcome these issues. In some cases it is feedback infoodle needs to hear in order to make changes to the program or UI. Receiving new ideas, hints and tips can give users a fresh motivation in using infoodle.
While infoodle has an active online training program the roadshows allow the attendees to see the new features first hand and learn how to get the most of them. Clients can sometimes get into a rut in they way they do things, or a predecessor has only shown you one way of solving a problem. At the roadshow users often see that there are often several different ways they can manage their administration, contacts, data etc, often being more efficient.
